On April 7 this year, an online training seminar was organized at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan for the members of the 55 District Referendum Commissions established at diplomatic missions and other representative offices of the Republic of Uzbekistan abroad.

The training seminar dealt with the preparation and organization of the voting day by the Referendum District Commission abroad, the specifics of organizing early voting in densely populated areas for our citizens abroad and the procedures for counting the votes, registering the results in a referendum precinct abroad and transmitting them to the relevant District Commission.

The topics covered in the training seminar attracted the interest of Referendum Precinct Commissions abroad, and the seminar was full of questions and opinions on the topics.

At the end of the training seminar, the Secretary of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Uzbekistan, H. Mamatov, stressed that the active participation in the referendum of our citizens who are temporarily or permanently reside abroad and the efforts of the Precinct Referendum Commissions to ensure this right are very important.
