The Central Election Commission held a series of meetings on April 30. The Chairperson of the Commission, Zayniddin Nizamkhodjaev, met with representatives of a delegation led by Zhang Ming, Secretary General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Mission, H.E. Ambassador Wang Kaiwen, Head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China, and Rejeb Sheker, Head of the Mission of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic Speaking Countries.

The meetings provided detailed information on the systematic preparation and holding of the referendum in accordance with international standards and democratic principles, the schedule approved by the CEC, and national legislation.

It should be noted that the observer missions are monitoring the referendum preparation and holding activities. During their visit to Uzbekistan, the missions visited a number of referendum precincts in our republic and planned to present relevant conclusions and recommendations based on their observations.
