A series of meetings took place in the Central Election Commission

Today, July 7, in the afternoon, the Central Election Commission met with observers from international organizations and foreign states who came to our country to observe the process of preparing and holding early presidential elections in the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Among them were delegations led by Deputy Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States, S. Jafarov, and Head of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic Speaking States, H. Ipek, Secretary of the Election Commission of Bangladesh, A. Jahangir, Deputy Chairman of the Central Election Commission of the Kyrgyz Republic, N. Koichukeyev, and Chairman of the Central Election Commission of Kazakhstan, N. Abdirov.

The meeting noted that the work of preparing and holding the early presidential elections, which will be held on July 9, is being carried out in accordance with the requirements of the legislation and democratic principles.

The observers particularly emphasized that voters were informed about the elections at a high level and that the use of biometric identification devices had begun on a trial basis at a number of polling stations.

It should be noted that the incoming observer missions of observers from international organizations and foreign states will observe the process of preparing and holding the early elections of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The international and foreign observers will go to the election precincts during their visit to Uzbekistan and on the basis of their observations will make appropriate conclusions and recommendations.
